NEW Flathead water pumps Enjoy peace of mind while driving your rod or custom. To have a cool running flathead -high quality water pumps are essential. Rebuilding 45 year old pumps can give less than optimal results. Our water pumps are entirely brand new. That's right - new bodies - new pulleys - new impellers - new everything. . So don't take a chance in this most critical area. All 1949 and up pumps include modern sealed type bearings. Pre 1949 pumps use high quality oil impregnated bronze bushings. NOTE: When using 1949-53 engine in a 1937-48 chassis - the 1948-52 pick-up pumps with single wide belt is most commonly used to mount engine. If you don't need a pair, we sell them at $90.00 each. NOTE: 1949-51 Mercury water pumps are available as rebuilt only. Wide or Thin Belt? Ford and Mercury used two different belt widths depending on year and vehicle application. If the width of the pulley at it's widest point (inside the "V"- at the top) is 3/8" - you have a thin belt. If that demension is 5/8" - you have a wide belt.
