PITMAN ARM BUSHING

Back
60-105 - PITMAN ARM BUSHING
Looseness in steering is often due to failed pitman arm bushings. Check the joint where the pitman arm goes down to the tie rod. This joint has two bolts that hold the four pitman arm bushings in place. Any sideways movement in these arms, while turning the steering wheel, would indicate bad bushings. These bushings are very easy to replace and vital to the proper steering for these cars. NOTE: Early 1939 car used a larger bushing and only two per car. This item is not reproduced, however, we can sometimes find old stock on this bushing. Contact us to see what is available for the early 1939 design.
