For changing over to electronic ignition, and still being able to use your tach driven gauge. All components are under the cap-no need for external coil. *Mechanical Tach Drive *Built in Performance Curve Kit *Adjustable Vacuum Advance Kit *Hardened Black Oxide Drive & Cross Gear *4 Weight & Spring sets to adjust advance curves *50,000 Volt Coil *High Performance Control Module *High performance cap and rotor with solid brass terminals for maximum conductivity. *Easy one-wire hook-up. *Must be used with the later style 1975-81 H.E.I. type spark plug wires (See part # DST206 for the kit with HEI spark plugs & HEI plug wires required with this changeover.) **The only drawback to this is that you cannot use your factory distributor top shielding. The larger cap is too large to fit under the shielding. You can change to a 75-77 top shield, which is larger to fit an HEI cap, but you will have to cut your mounting brackets a little shorter to use this shield, or purchase new 75-77 brackets (SHD310 & SHD311)(replacement shielding will not work on 63-67) **NOTE- Modification required to most 63-65 factory aluminum intakes or aftermarket hi-rise intakes. The base on the HEI Distributor is larger than original, which pushes the vacuum advance forward. This causes the vacuum advance to hit the intake. We have had some customers grind on their intake to make it clear, but we cannot recommend this & cannot be responsible for damages.
