For 78-79 Vettes with 2-1/2" wide spring. This replacement rear end cover is very similar to the original equipment rear end cover, except for a few notable improvements. The spring plate has been reinforced to prevent the normal cracking of OE covers, and the casting has been upgraded with SAE 63,000 high strength alloy. The heavy duty rear end cover has the dimensions of a stock cover and allows room for the spare tire while giving you an added bit of security.
