Heavy Duty 7 Leaf Spring for Big Blocks & OEM Heavy Duty suspension. Most 65-74 Big Blocks had this spring, and some 68-78 with special heavy duty suspension. This spring is 2-1/4" wide. 1977-1979 OWNERS PLEASE MEASURE YOUR OLD SPRING'S WIDTH BEFORE ORDERING-(could be 2-1/4 OR 2-1/2 wide) We do NOT recommend putting a 7 leaf spring on a car that originally had a 9 leaf spring. With new leaf springs-we recommend using mounting kits with Longer bolts. They allow you to adjust the ride height. New springs will make your rear end stick up more until they settle down, plus the liners in the new springs are thicker than the original spring liners.
