Fenders and strips require extra shipping and handling charges. Add $10 crating fee on side fenders and inner fenders. Almost all large fiberglass parts require additional shipping charges because of the large size of the boxes. Fiberglass panels were originally made of press molded fiberglass, which is smooth on both sides. While it is more expensive to manufacture, press molded fiberglass is usually a better quality panel, stronger, and looks better on the reverse side if it shows (such as an inner fender). Most reproduction fiberglass is made of hand layed fiberglass, which is cheaper to manufacturer, but in some cases, is the only way the part is available. It is smooth on the side that shows, but has the fiberglass strands showing on the reverse side. Not all panels are available in both press molded and hand layed fiberglass, but we have tried to offer both when available. Originally GM made the bodies in sections and put them together with bonding strips. We offer these pieces in the exploded view to follow, some are press molded (shown as PM), some are hand layed (shown as HL). One piece front ends are all the pieces, but made as one piece so there are no bonding strips, but are only available in hand layed fiberglass.
