It your window will only go part of the way up, or it seems to skip, it is probably the teeth on the regulator are worn down. This regulator gear turns with the gear on the motor. If the teeth are worn down in one spot or another, the motor gear is spinning without catching these gear teeth. This gear is made of a hardened steel, much stronger than GM's original material. Requires disassembly of the regulator (instructions included). Be sure to check your motor gear too in case it is worn down (DOR360).
