FLATHEAD BRACKET CUSTOMERS: The applications and descriptions of these brackets are as accurate as we can give without lengthy detail of several variables such as variations within different intake manufacturers, variations in intake bracket mounting location and water pump pulley spacings. An early engine with late water pumps adapted will have belt alignment problems, this not fault of the bracket fitting the engine its listed for. These brackets will only work on 24 stud engines. Steel bracket mounts Sanden 508 series compressor and standard GM case alternator. Bracket can be used with all one or "regular" two 2 barrel carb (not wide-spread two carb), or single 4 barrel carburetor intakes. Can be used on 49'-53' engine with three 2 barrel carbs if oil fill is moved to the back. Bracket will accept stock fan/ idler assemblies. All air conditioning compressors that we stock here at Parr Automotive are for the standard narrow belt. If you must run the wide Ford belt please contact Hot Rod & Custom Supply directly at (941)574-7744. Pre 48' Engines not using "flex" hoses should use Hot Rod & Custom Supply chrome pipe set to provide additional clearance needed. 49'-53' engines will require the use of a set of "offset" water necks #HOT-3496. Alternator and compressor not included.
