ALL  TRUNK/ DECK LID PROP - Part Number PRR2254
Telescopic trunk/deck lid support rod comes with aluminum mounting brackets. The inner rod has an allen screw installed that slides up and down a slot cut in the outer tube. This outer tube has a notch machined into the bottom of the slot for the allen screw to move into. To release or lower the deck lid simply support the weight of the lid with one hand and slide the allen screw back into the slot with the other and lower. These are pretty strong units, most others like it on the market only use a 1/4" rod where this one uses a 5/16". All fibergalss and most light steel lids should work fine.
