Chrome engine oil pans feature 3/16" thick steel skidplate welded into the sump area of the pan. This skidplate is not just tack welded on. Approximately 14" of weld area secure this skidplate permanently. Skidplates have ball milled grooves and are folded upward in the front of the sump area adding protection to this area as well. All pans are stock depth and do not require special pump or pickup screen.
