Dimension length 9-3/4", dimension width 7-1/4". Remote power brake boosters install down line, away from the master cylinder. Because these boosters are an in-line type and boosting line pressure after the master cylinder, the power brake feel is not the same as what a conventional power brake feels like. This is because this remote type booster is not actually helping you push the plunger into the master cylinder which is how the late model power brake operates. Boosters have a single inlet and a single outlet port. With the small diaphragm in these boosters approximately 16 inches of vacuum are required for proper operation. (Engines that do not produce much vacuum may require the use of a vacuum canister and/or electric vacuum pump). A light car could use the small booster for most common disc/drum setups and the large booster with 4 wheel disc. A heavy car could use the small booster with 4 wheel drum and the large booster with most disc/drum setups.
