The Monte Carlo bar mounts between the head of the shock towers to form a triangle when used with an export brace. This further strengthens the shock tower area. They were introduced on the early Falcons prepared for the Monte Carlo rally in the sixties, thus the name. Monte Carlo bars may interfere with shakers, non-stock air cleaners, A/C hardware, and DO NOT fit 6 cyl. cars. Monte Carlo bars may also require drilling or redrilling of mounting holes on the car. Bolts between front aprons, adds strength to unibody structure.
