This is our best secondary base assembly for the rochester small base 2g carb. Use two of these new bases on the outer carbs on a 3x2 setup running progressive linkage or in any location where an idle circuit is not desired. We cast base in alum. alloy and CNC machine to exact tolerances. Base is fitted with a new shaft and new wide 20 degree throttle plates. NOTE: see the angle of the 20 degree plates in relation to the throttle bores in the picture. This assures a tight seal but no chance for the plates to stick or bind up in the bores when closed. This is just how General motors did it on the factory 3x2 setups on the end (secondary) carbs. It comes with a new pump rod drive link on one end of the shaft and a torsion return spring and arm on the linkage end. Throttle plates are precision lapped to assure an airtight fit. This is just like the secondary bases used on the early GM tri-power setups, only made of alum. alloy . These will fit all the small base GM Rochesters from 1955 up thru the late 60's. Comes with complete instructions and a special base to body gasket. NOTE no core charge on this item.
