This is our Rochester cast iron stock base that is converted to a Secondary carb base. Secondary bases dont have idle circuits. Use these as the outer carbs on a 3x2 setup or in any location where idle is not needed. We take select cores and clean and bead blast unit--hone bores-- fit with our new throttle shaft and special 20 degree throttle plates. Both top and bottom of the base is precision ground to assure a true surface. When using this base you dont need any throttle stop screw because the 20 degree plates will close tight without sticking in the base. We install a torsion return spring and carb arm - (part #CL-33) on the linkage end of the shaft , and a pump link arm (part # CL-34) on the other end to act as a wide open stop and to activate your accelerator pump.These bases have all the vac. and idle holes filled and ground smooth. Base is painted in casting grey urethane enamal. Bases are precision lapped on a machine of our own design to insure an airtight base. Use two of these bases to convert your outer carbs to tri-power operation. These bases will fit all the small base GM Rochester 2g carbs. from 1955 up thru the late 60s.-- Base comes with instructions and special base to body gasket.
