The Dyna 2000 programmable high performance electronic ignition system represents a breakthrough in the ability to match a powerful ignition system to the needs of a specific engine configuration. The Dyan 2000 allows the user to tailor the ignition advance curve and rpm limit to maximize engine performance on engines with various levels of modification, from stock to highly modified. The user can select between the available curves to maximize performance for the particular engine being used. The Dyna 2000 also has a programmable rpm limiter which can be adjusted between 6,000 and 7,500 rpm. This allows the proper over-rev protection to be established for your particular engine without forcing you to accept the low factory limit found on stock ignitions. These systems are compatible with the stock wiring harness found on late model Harleys or can be used with the Dyna S Ignition System when utilizing the H-D pickup adapter OEM 32408-90. The Dyna 2000 is backed by a one year factory warranty. IMPORTANT! On any electronic advance ignition such as the Dyna 2000 or the stock H-D ignition, you must use carbon core type supression spark plug wires with a resistance of at least 3000 ohms per foot to reduce radio frequency interference. Use of copper or spiral core wires may cause malfunction of the ignition due to sever electric noise generated at the spark plugs. The original wires were supplied by H-D should be OK. The Dyna wires part No. 18-274 are recommended. NOTE: Please purchase extension harness part No. 53-401 for 18984 thru 1990 models that do not have a 7 pin connector.
