This Hi-Intensity ignition coil is two coils in one! Designed for use with most single fire ignitions that have a current limiting control and require a 2-3 ohm coil. It is compact and fits under stock coil covers with no bulky extra brackets. When matched with the Hi-4 Single Fire Ignition, your ignition system will out-power any other. Coil and Spark Plug Cable Considerations We recommend replacing the OEM coils. Coils used with the Hi-4 must have at least 2 ohms primary resistance. We recommend the following coils: For HI-4 Ignition with Single Plug Heads: Use part No. 53-377 coil. This is a "Siamese" coil with twon independent sections and will fit in the stock mounting location on most H-D motorcycles. You can also use two dual spark tower coils and ground one of the towers on each coil to the engine case or frame. You will have to fabricate a bracket to mount the second coil. HI-4 Ignition with Dual Plug Heads. Use two part No. 53-376 coils. You will have to fabricate a bracket to mount the second coil. Spiral core spark plug wires are recommended for maximum performance. Do not use solid copper spark plug cables; they may cause interference with your ignition system and accessories.
