Cast finish with speedo hole. One version for direct replacement on 5 speed FXST Softail 1990 thru 1995; a second for use on 5 speed FXR 1990 thru 1994. CHROME HORSE transmission case (Patent No. 412, 466) cast in CNC machined permanent molds from A356 aluminum and hardened to T6 specification, then fully machined on state-of-the-art Mazak FH Horizontal Machining Center. CHROME HORSE polished billet trap door machined from 6061-T651 aluminum. Close ratio Andrews or Jims gears and shafts which feature high nickle alloy gears for maximum strength and lead in ramps for quicker, more positive shifting. Cases available in cast finish, polished finish or black powder coat. All Softail cases available with or without speedo hole, in all finishes.
