TAPPET PUSHROD ASSEMBLY - Part Number 91-505
Mechanical lifter & adjustable pushrod kit. Crane manufacturer their own roller tappet assemblies for H-D 74" & 80", 1966 thru 1984. Both hydraulic and mechanical versions are available, featuring precision machined & heat treated steel tappet bodies. The mechanical tappets feature relocated pushrod seat heights, resulting in less weight, improved valve train geometry and reduced tappet guide block wear. (The mechanical tappet/pushrod assembly is 33% less weight than stock). Adjustable chromemoly steel pushrods are included with each set of tappets to insure that a matched assembly will provide the performance & durability that you expect from Crane. NOTE: Installation of this tappet kit requires the removal of the camshaft from the engine.
