Black wrinkle finished heads: These Edelbrock heads are finished with a black wrinkle paint that matches stock barrels. Paint is electrostatically applied and baked at 300 degrees fahrenheit. Assembled Performer RPM heads provide superior flow for getting max horsepower and torque out of an Evolution Big Twin motor. These heads are complete with stainless steel swirl-polished valves, titanium retainers, 7 degree locks, valve springs, seals and a three-angle valve job. They accept up to .650 max valve lift. valve springs have 175 lbs. of seat pressure at the installed height of 1.800. Assembled Performer RPM heads will be available with a 72CC combustion chamber for 80 C.I.D. Big Twins and with an 88CC combustion chamber for 97 C.I.D. engines. These chamber sizes will provide a 9.5:1 compression ratio with a flat top piston. 3/8 head bolt holes allow up to 3-13/16 bore sizes. Heads included crankcase breather and can be blocked off for 1984 thru 1991 applications. Performer RPM heads are ideal for power above 4,000 rpm in stock sized engines as well as for power in big bore and stroker motors. Match the new Edelbrock Assembled Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads with the new Edelbrock/JE Sportsman pistons for incredible horsepower and torque gains. Performer RPM Heads and intake with 40mm QwikSilver carburetor, Edelbrock/JE Sportstman pistons, Crane H-290-2 camshaft, and high-flow pipes made 86 horsepower and 91 ft/lbs. torque over a stock 80 C.I.D. 1991 FXR. That's 76% more horsepower and 44% more torque over a stock non-California bike! The rectangular shaped intake port of the Edelbrock heads increases the surface area of the floor for a noticeable increase in air flow. This .125 raised rectangular intake port also helps to increase the velocity of the incoming air for more power. The dual-quench combustion chamber features a revolutionary new design that directs the air/fuel mixture into a tumbling motion. This tumbling motion helps to provide a better air/fuel mix resulting in a more efficient combustion. The combustion chamber sizes increase compression ratios from 8.5:1 for 9.5:1 for more efficient combustion. The D shaped exhaust port provides a larger area for increased flow. This D shaped port was designed to create a mis-match between the exhaust pipe and the exhaust exit. This mis-match reduces power robbing reversion by keeping the majority of the exhaust gasses from going back into the engine. Match either version with the new Edelbrock/JE Sportsman pistons for awesome 10.5:1 compression ratio performance. Edelbrock has been designing and manufacturing automotive parts for over 58 years.
