44G Grind, 21/41 Timing, 242 @ .53 and 279 @ .53 Duration, .495 @ .020 Valve, .182 Lift and TDC Stock. 44G Grind, 49/17 Timing, 246 @ .53 and 283 @ .53 Duration, .495 @ .020 Valve, .158 Lift and TDC Stock. For 88 or 95 inches and 9.25 CR or higher. Max torque & HP at middle & upper RPM. (2400 - 6000 + RPM) Same as TW44 but with gear drive. Andrews Twin Cam 88 camshafts are available with S&S gear drives. Gear driven cams use less engine power than stock chains. Dyno tests show gains of 4 hp over cams with chains. If less power is needed to run the camshafts, more power gets to the rear wheel. For all-out drag motors, there is another advantage. With gear drives, super high lift cams can be used. This requires some explanation. With chain drive cams, can be used. With chain drive cams, valve lifts of .600 or higher will result in interference between front and rear cam lobes. With the gear drive cams, lobe tip angles are different so lobe-to-lobe interference cannot occur. The gear drives are so smooth that ball bearings are used on both camshafts instead of a rear roller bearing. Also, gear drive cams do not have chain tensioner shoes to wear out. What you need to order: * If updating from the stock chain drive system, order: one set cams with inner gears and part No. 114-220 outer cam drive gears. * If installing a gear drive style cam set from another cam manufacturer, and the kit does not include inner cam gears, order: part No. 114-222 cam gear drive kit. * For either above installation we recommend part No. 114-221 cam installation kit.
