Bowtie Sportsman Bare Block Tall deck, 572 engine. GMPP's big-block Bowtie blocks are fully CNC-machined for the ultimate sportsman racing or street performance application. You can order one with a deck height of 9.800-inches or with the taller 10.200-inch deck height and they come with 4.494-inch cylinder bores, and they also have 16-degrees splayed nodular iron bearing caps and a mechanical fuel pump provision, as well as being machined for a production-type camshaft and roller lifters. All feature priority main oiling. This block is used on all 572 engines and features a 10.200-inch fully honed cylinder bores, honed camshaft and crankshaft bores, five installed windage tray bolts, 16-degree splayed nodular iron bearing caps, one-piece rear main seal design, and mechanical fuel pump provisions. The block is machined for a production camshaft with roller lifters and is powder coated orange.
