DRCE Three Bare Block Gray Iron. Gray iron machined DRCE 3 block incorporates the latest design technology based on the race-proven DRCE family of engine blocks. It was designed for 500-cubic-inch Pro Stock or similar competition usage. It is sold "solid", without the lifter or head bolt holes drilled and tapped, which allows any DRCE series cylinder head to be used. Deck height is 9.25-inches, but it can be lowered to 9.00-inches. Semi-finished cylinders are bored to 4.590 inches and can be bored out to 4.700 inches. The 4140 steel main caps use "dowel after assembly" technology for location improvement. Water and oil plugs are aluminum A/N with O-rings.
