Oil Pan SB V8 1986-96 Corvette Style 1 pc rear main seal. Fits 1986-1996 Corvette models. Has right-hand dipstick and fits crankshaft seal adapter P/N 10051118. Note: Use with oil pan rail reinforcements P/N 14088501 (LH) and 14088502 (RH). GM Performance Parts oil pans deliver the perfect fit for production engines, providing peace of mind against leaks. About Small Block Chevy Oil Pans: Production Chevrolet small-block V-8 and 90-degree V-6 engines were redesigned in 1986 to include a one-piece rear main seal, resulting in a new oil pan design. For pre-1986 engines there is also a new one-piece pan gasket available. As a result of these changes, oil pans and gaskets are not interchangeable between pre-1986 and later engines. If you have installed crankshaft seal adapter P/N 10051118 on a block which is matched for a one-piece rear seal, you must use an oil pan and gasket designed for 1986-and-newer engines. Production Chevrolet small-block V8 and V6/90 deg engines were redesigned in 1986 with a leak-resistant one-piece rear seal. This change required a revised oil pan design to fit a new rear seal retainer which is bolted to the back of the engine block. A new-one-piece pan gasket replaced the four-piece gasket set used on pre-1986 engines. As a result of these changes, oil pans an gaskets are not interchangeable between 1955-85 and 1986-up engines. If you have installed crankshaft seal adapter P/N 10051118 on a block which is machined for a one-piece rear seal, you must use an oil pan and gasket designed for 1986 and newer engines.
