Bowtie Head Phase 3 cast iron. High-performance, off-highway cast iron heads that, in unmodified form, will out-flow any production cast iron small-block head. Extra-thick wall sections allow ports to be enlarged for greater flow capacity. Manifold heat riser passages are deleted for a cool, dense intake charge. Combustion chamber volume is 64cc. Intake runners are 184 compression. Intake valve seats are machined for 2.02-inch valves. Induction-hardened exhaust seats are finished for 1.60-inch valves Valve spring pockets are machined for up to 1.50-inch competition springs. Rocker stud bosses are tapped for screw-in studs (studs and guide plates not included). Bare casting weight is approximately 42 pounds. GM Performance Parts cylinder heads are created with GM premium-engineering, then cast and machined to our exacting manufacturing standards. GMPP cylinder heads are available as bare castings or complete cylinder head from service replacement castings to all-out competition applications.
