Cylinder Head Signature Series Racing Bowtie. Rectangular port head made from 356-T6 aluminum alloy for 1965-2000 Mark IV and Gen V & VI big-block competition engines. The Bowtie head offers significant performance gains over production castings. The intake runners are raised 0.100-inch and enlarged to improve airflow. Rectangular exhaust ports are raised 0.750-inch to reduce runner turbulence. For additional power, it has unique 115-cc open combustion chambers, with added material between valve seats which reduces combustion chamber volume. Semi-finished seat inserts and bronze valve guides are designed for 2.19-inch intake and 1.88-inch exhaust valves. Rocker arm stud bosses are reinforced and heli-coiled to improve reliability with racing valve springs. Rocker arm rails are raised 0.250-inch. Two additional head bolt holes are drilled in valley area for additional clamping force. Raised intake runners require valves 0.400-inch longer than stock. Intake manifold ports must be modified to match intake runner entrances. Aftermarket head bolts are required.
