Distributor Small block & big-block V8. Adjustable slip collar. Designed primarily for competition use. Billet aluminum housing, ball bearing guide, and adjustable slip collar that can be adjusted to make up for block or head machining, or a tall-deck Bowtie block. Magnetic pickup provides accurate trigger signals to GMPP Heavy Duty Ignition P/N 10037378 (not included). Uses a standard Chevrolet V8 cap and rotor. Will clear most induction systems. Note: This distributor does not have a mechancial tach drive; use electronic tachometers P/N 10185001 or P/N 10185002. High-quality, durable and dependable GMPP distributors optimize the performance of your GM engine. These distributors are interchangeable among standard GM small-block and big-block V-8's. For tall-deck engines, GMPP offers a distributor with an adjustable slip collar - P/N 10093387. Note: It is extremely important to use a melonized steel distributor gear with all new GM engines equipped with a flt-tappet or hydraulic steel roller camshaft. Serious engine damage may occur otherwise. Most GMPP distributors come with a melonized steel gear. Use distributor gear P/N 10456413 on a non-GMPP distributor.
