PROFESSIONAL SERIES CARBURETOR - Part Number P-850-CT
Professional Series Carburetor, 850 CFM Circle Track, Gasoline Specifications: PRIMARY JET- 76 SECONDARY JET- 76 IDLE BLEED - .070" HI SPEED BLEED - .033" Professional Series Carburetor Info: MAIN BODY PROFORM High-Flow Main Body w/ changeable air bleeds, etc.- The precision vacuum-drawn die casting helps to minimize any chance for porosity to occur. Also, critical casting dimensions can be held at much closer tolerances. Larger CFM sizes are secondary hard tool machined to exacting specifications to provide "real world" venturi/throttle bore combinations that provide both maximum air flow and throttle response. Screw-in air bleeds enable fine tuning of both the low- and high-speed systems. Scalloped, summetrical throttle bore openings provide minimal restriction to air flow, yet maintains a strong booster signal. BILLET METERING BLOCK CNC machined to provide more precise fuel metering and a more uniform fuel performance curve. These P-Series carburetor metering blocks feature changeable emulsion and idle feed restrictions. This provides the ultimate, tuneable fuel curve. They are used in gasoline and alcohol carburetors, including 3-circuit carburetors. SUPER DUTY THROTTLE BODIES Designed for competition, these throttle bodies are CHC- machined to exavting specifications and will comply with all sanctioning association rules. Strengthening ribs reinforce the typical weak areas; thicker cross sections ensure excellent sealing to the main body. Together, these features reduce the potential for warpage and ensure smooth throttle operation. Reinforced positive throttle stops eliminate throttle shaft "over-centering" and reduces load on the throttle shaft at wide-open-throttle. P-Series carburetor throttle bodies are available in either standard of 4500 flanges. DIE CAST ALUMINUM FUEL BOWLS A half-pound less weight than zinc, the P-Series carburetor fuel bowl is made from a special marine-grade aluminum alloy for superior corrosion resistance. An increased length enables them to carry additional fuel capacity for high-horsepower race engines. Internal baffles prevent an unstable float level due to fuel slosh. FUEL CHUTE design significantly reduces aeration and helps direct fuel to the bottom of the bowl, towards teh main jet pick up area. Professional Series bowls have multiple patents, reference utility patent #6554258.
