Cast Aluminum adapter for converting canister style filter on 1956-1967 Chevrolet and 1958-1969 GMC/Chevrolet truck V8 engines to use a remote mount spin-on filter (use with Offenhauser base 5877). This adapter replaces all canister filter components including the bypass valve assembly. A spin on filter with bypass valve must be used on the remote base. Adapter comes complete with gaskets, two 1/4"-20 bolts for passenger car engines and two 5/16"-18 bolts for truck engines. Two 1/2" NPT female threaded ports are used for connecting the flexible oil lines. Height is 1-3/4" OD is 4".
